Transferring SD card from S7 to S10

Sorry for the newbie question but I've never transferred an SD card from one phone to another. Can I just pop it out of the S7 and put it in the S10 or do I have to do something more?

I've swapped cards over many phones without any problems...
Always back up any card regularly in any case just the same

When I switched from my screen-busted S8 to a new S9, I used Smart Switch for just what's on device memory.

Then I just popped the SD card out of the S8 (wasn't encrypted) and stuck it in the new phone. The S9 read it immediately.
