Transferring video from my HTC One to MacBook

Hi guys,

I have been trying to transfer a video to my macbook. The Android File transfer is rejecting this due to the fact that the file has a size of more than 10gb.
Also, HTC sync manage crashes when I try to use this app to send the files.
I can't use Bluetooth to send files either since apparently my mac doesn't stay connected with the phone.

It would be amazing if you could help me with this problem.

Have you tried a zipping app to compress the file before transfer?

No... I'll try that thanks. But would it be able to compress the file from 10gb to less than 4gb?

I am giving up... absolutely disappointed. There is no reason why an advanced OS like android should have such problems. Even Windows Phone is easier than this... If I can't fix it, I will return this thing...

I am done now, I am switching again, keeping the phone but in my drawer...
