Hey all. This is my first smartphone, ive had it since end of May and i love it! I may venture into the custom rom stuff soon.. anyway..

I travel a lot. Often on cruise ships and other countries as an entertainer. Im about to leave on first trip with this phone on weds morning.

What do i do to not get charged for data usage?? Just deactivate network mode?? It costs a fortune to.make calls, but.occasionally i can access some wifi. Is there anyway to.make calls using wifi??

Any tips you may have for travelin with an infuse would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all.

skype and viber are 2 apps that i can think of that have voice calling for free over wi-fi

I traveled to Peru recently. I found my pc was having excellent wifi strength in the hotel rooms but the Infuse could detect the wifi but took a long time to connect if at all. If you have google voice, GrooVe IP let you make free phone calls to US and Canada and worked well even with the weak wifi signal in the hotel room.
