travelling overseas how to turn off data and phone on Thunderbolt

Re: travelling overseas how to turn off data and phone on Thunder

The Rezound isn't any more GSM capable than the Thunderbolt or any other Verizon LTE phone.

I have been able to put in a tmo sim and send and receive calls okay on my Rezound. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe that the ThunderBolt can do this.

Not sure how that's possible since it doesn't have the GSM radio to place those calls on Tmobile's network. Surprised it even works at all with a different sim in there.

I tried att and it works as well. On the rezound, there are options for gsm in the lte onoff app, no such options exist in the thunderbolt. Perhaps it has gsm radios, but it isn't listed in the specs.

So it does look like there's something a bit different with the rezound. Couple other forums have threads about it and seems that some are saying it works with no data while others say they can't get it to work at all.
