Travelling to the USA for 3 weeks, which SIM should I get?

Hi all,

I'm travelling to the USA on a Topdeck tour in July from New Zealand and would like to pick up a SIM card for my Pixel to use whilst I'm there. In NZ we only have GSM based networks no CDMA so I guess that means I'll be using T-Mobile or AT&T? As I'm there for 3 weeks I'm obviously not going to be signing up to any contracts and would be looking at pre-paid options.

I got the impression that pre-paid works slightly different from NZ where we can just basically buy a SIM from a carrier, load it with $$ and thats it and you're away.

Any guidance and suggestions on carriers/plans would be much appreciated.

:)

AT&T generally has better overall coverage, so you're probably better off getting a prepaid SIM from them or one of the MVNOs that use their network (like Straight Talk).
