Tried rooting 3 times and I'm not getting root

No I'm on windows 7. So ill do a factory reset tonight when I get home and download all the files again. If that doesn't work then I guess ill try the auto root. Is that auto root for MAC ??

Ok cool the auto root by droidxcon I posted is for pc, try that.

I'm pretty much a noob at this whole rooted phone thing, but this is the method I used to gain root: YouTube - ‪How to Root: HTC Thunderbolt One Click App‬‏ Its a "one click method" I'm not sure what the pro's and con's are vs. Corey's method but this was a simple procedure for me to follow...didnt read all the posts so sorry if this has been posted or talked about.

i did it guys!!! im officially rooted
i dont know if this changed anything but when i got home from work i did a facory reset on my phone and after i loaded the PG05IMG.zip file i noticed that when my phone restarted fastboot was uncheck unlike when i downgraded older version of the PG05IMG.zip. so i guess factory reset and making sure fastboot was unchecked allowd me to get root. FINALLY!! thank to everyone that helped me out and thanks to cory for the ADB Root Tutorial
