Tried switching to metro

So currently I have T-Mobile and I tried switching to metro pcs (T-Mobile owns). It turns out it's locked. When the metro sim card get inserted into the phone, the phone makes a loud beeping sound.
It saids I need to go this place or where ever it was locked to to get it unlocked.
Now I thought ZTE phones were unlocked.
So how can I get it unlocked so I can switch cell service?

I got this phone on Amazon. Do I need to take the phone wherever physically there? I hope not

Where does the phone tell you to take it? To TMobile? (MetroPCS is their MVNO, so the phone should accept a MetroPCS SIM. You'll still be using TMobile towers.)

It seems my phone was hacked or something.
When metro pcs tried putting in their sim, a alarm was going off. And in order to unlock it I had to message someone. But the name is scififorlife2000beyondto. But there is no email link or anything.
That's why my phone started acting up couple of months ago.
If I disconnect the phone from the charger the phone will die in matter of seconds.
It seem it got worse when I tried putting in the metro pcs sim card in.
