I tried to MMS a single picture today it was just 1 pic, and was 17kb, and I kept getting a force close error on the android MMS feature. What is the point of having a great camera if I cant send the pictures to anyone?

also is there any hope for trouble shooting this, or do I need to reduce the qaulity of the image(which is crap)? I tried it 4 times and all 4 times I got the same error.

Have you tried downloading Handcent SMS and using that to send your MMS messages? From my experience it seems to handle MMS a lot better then the stock client does.

No i have not tried that. But I will do it now. Thanks.

Its a great free application in the marketplace. You can use it as the daily SMS client too, with a TON of customizable features.

If you want to do that though, just be sure to turn your default apps notifications off, so you dont get double notifications for each message

So My SD card keeps saying that it has been removed when it hasnt, but how do I move pictures that were saved to the phone to the card?

Anyone else having issue with the memory card saying that it has unexpectly been removed when it hasnt?

I've had issues with Handcent sending MMS (the delivery is always "Pending" and never gets delivered), but I've had success with ChompSMS.

The picture will automatically get reduced in size for MMS. I guess the MMS cellular protocols aren't really updated for 8 megapixel cameras on cell phones with large high-def screens.

I've also had issues with my SD card being "removed" as well. A re-boot solves the issue, but it hasn't happened consistently enough that I can replicate it and figure out what causes it.

I just tried sending pics as MMS though Handcent and it would not work.

I tried going through the stock messages app and it didn't work either.

It said there was a generic network failure?

This was the same problem I had with Handcent. Try ChompSMS. Make sure you turn on the MMS delivery report. Once it's delivered, it you'll see a little green checkmark next to your MMS.

I agree, it is annoying when it happens, but is fixable. This is really the only glitch that I have with my phone.. I dont know if it has anything to do with the fact that it is a card that I formatted in my BB Tour then moved over or not. I just didnt want to email myself 100pix and videos to use the 2 gig card that came with the phone.
