Tried to reboot my alcatel one pop now its stuck on formatting cache for a few wks

Hi so I was trying to get into my Alcatel One pop as I need photos n stuff of it but I was unable to as I forgot password etc, so I figured if I try the reboot option i might be able to get into it without erasing well stupid me chose formatting cache well my phone has been stuck on it for over a month,how can I fix it plz help

Have you tried holding power button until phone restarts?

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, but rebooting or wiping the cache won't get you past a forgotten password in the first place. It's possible the phone was failing in the first place, which is perhaps why it wasn't recognizing your password.

Follow mustang7757's advice and force a shutdown. Since your phone probably has a removable battery, you can also just pull the battery. Then try powering up again.
