I've been dissatisfied with my Galaxy s3 ever since Jellybean first came out, and after the latest update I finally decided to try rolling back my OS to ICS. To my dismay, after I completed all the steps in the guide I found (here) my phone won't boot past this point

This guide is for the 19300 in the UK, I did make sure to get the right download for my phone, the american verizon wireless SCH-1535. I've tried using several different downloads of the 4.0.4 OS (all for the SCH-1535) to re-ROM the phone through ODIN, but the result is always the same. (the phone will do odin mode, but nothing other than that and the splash screen.) The only thing I can think of is that I didn't turn on USB Debugging Mode before I tried this. Tell me, o mighty internet, have I bricked my phone?

ok assuming it was the proper file for your device... did you wipe data and cache from recovery?
