Triggers in 'Tasker' App ?

In Tasker, is it possible to have triggers? For example: if I press the lock button, it will launch an app. If so, how? If not, is there any other way of doing this?

There are events in Tasker, but I do not believe that there is a way for Tasker to trigger an event off the power button directly. You can trigger off the display going on or off, though.
