So, I've read alot of info between the two... I want to know which one you guys think I should get and why its than the other? 5 days till the triumph release :D

I just came from a Samsung galaxy s fascinate to the optimus. One thing that is true about all android devices is that they can have great stats on paper but suck in the hand. If you are really on the fence wait ul the triumph is ut a week or so at least and read the forums for bugs.

I love my nice compact cheaper new device

Ya I went from ****ty old non android Verizon phones to the optimus v and now I see the two new phones and I don't know whether to wait it out for the new optimus, sees how LG is more dev friendly. Or get the triumph sees how it's got the snapdragon processor

If your on the fence then wait, nothing worse then spending a lot of money on phone that sucks!
Don't get suckered in by specs on a data sheet. On paper the Samsung intercept sounds like a better phone then the optimus V but as anyone who as owned one will tell you that has owned one is that phone is pure garbage!

I read a few reviews from people who got it early. just google it.

general concensus is that the touch screen has trouble being really accurate and there is a general feeling of lag all over the phone.

however, the HDMI out and huge screen are very compelling. I'm tempted to get it and just stick with froyo until its rooted and ROM'd

its not a BAD phone, its just not as quick as its specs suggest, i think it could be with a custom rom though

I really like my optimus. The optimus black is just a better version of our optimus right?

Edit: Nevermind, after watching the video reviews for both I think I would rather have the optimus black. Granted this also depends on price points. :)

What specs did you read? I sure as hell knew the optimus would be better because it has a GPU. the wonderful thing that processes graphics!

Do people expect miracles from the S3CC6410 CPU it has?( old old cpu used in old windows mobile smartphones)

Consumers should learn that mhz dont matter, its the CPU + generation that counts lol. The phone isn't garbage with the custom kernels, my intercept flies now.

That's great, but you can't expect a custom kernel or rom with it being Moto.
It's a $300 wager, and one where the odds are not in your favor.

The GPU in the black? If your referring to the sgx530, I think the adreno 205 in the Triumph has it beat if G2 vs Droid 2 comparisons are any indication

I Meant triumph xD but I.guess it all depends on the dev teams and capabilities

IF its locked there is not going to be much in the way of removing all the bloatware and custom kernels won't happen for it. I'm pretty sure you can still get a ROM on there but its not going to be that good without a kernel to go with it.

That why I going to let the folks who get caught up in all the hype and are impatient be the early adapters I don't want a $300 phone I won't be happy with. I did the same thing when the V came out I waited until more people had it and if there where devs working on ROM's for it.

No if the bootloader is locked you can still remove the bloatware once it is rooted. The only thing not happening with a locked bootloader is a custom kernel.
