Trouble connecting my new Nexus 7 to the internet

I just got my new Nexus yesterday and I have wi- fi that is working. when it says Select wi-fi I click on the connection that I use for my lap top and it won't connect. I have a ipod, phone and laptop that connects. Thanks alot to anyone that can help me.

Try rebooting the router first.
