Last week I talked to the manager of a TMO store about getting Lline Link and moving one of my current TMO numbers over to the Line Link. I had been using a TMO phone as a home number to prevent us from having to give out the number of the phones we carry to so many people. I was very clear that I didn't want to lose the phone number we have been using for many years.
The manager said it would be no problem and the number for Line Link would be changed to the number we have had for years in about 24 hours. So I signed up for Line Link and we put in an order to move the number I wanted to keep to Line Link.
Two days later the number had not been changed so I called TMO and they said it would take 72 hours and should be done in a few hours. I called TMO two days later because it had not been changed and was told it could not be changed until Sept. 23rd when the month ended for my other device and then I could call TMO and "ask" for that number if it was still available.
These types of conflicting answers are driving me nuts and now I feel we are in jeopardy of losing the number we have had for decades.
Anyone else have experiences like this and have any suggestions?
