Trouble synching with Outlook

I have trouble synching with my work Outlook. Sometimes an email I deleted reappears several times. Other times a new email does not show up for a long time after it appears on other devices. Any words of wisdom? Anyone else have this problem?
 
There are some known issues with Outlook/Hotmail where the IMAP protocol is not working correctly. Sure I am a bit biased, but you can give MailDroid a try. We have spent some time trying to add tweaks around this since we know about these Outlook issues.
 
Outlook Exchange. It ultimately synchs, but there can be big delays, sometimes hours.

What app are you using? I use Touchdown and don't have any problems.

I've been wanting to try Outlook, it seems to work well on iOS.
 
Two suggestions:

1. Remove your email app from Battery Optimization.

2. Use the Nine App for exchange email. Yes, it is a pay app, but worth the money.

Battery optimization is not currently on. I'll check out Nine App. I seem to be able to force a synch if I restart. Thanks for all of the feedback.
 
Well, I think I finally got this figured out with the help of an IT person at work. We downloaded the Outlook app and let it handle all emails. Then we initially deleted the Outlook account from the Pixel baseline system, then added back in contacts and calendar to the baseline system. Seems to work fine now, plus I, of course, can get at contacts and calendar via the Outlook app.
