Trouble with Android 12

I've just installed android 12 and have a few questions. On Android 11, when I clicked on the date, my calendar opened. Now all I got is the weather app.
Also, my battery % shows zero % no matter how much the charge level. I've checked all the settings. What could be wrong?

The issue with the calendar not showing up is the way it's working for everyone right now. We're not sure if it's a bug Google's going to fix in the background, or if that's the way they designed it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I would put a shortcut to the calendar on your home screen for now.

The battery percentage problem isn't normal... that's definitely a glitch. Have you turned your phone off then back on a couple times since you installed 12? That quite often seems to fix bugs like that for me. I would also try turning your battery percentage indicator off then on again. You could also try plugging your phone in and turning different battery settings on and off. Then also try that with the phone unplugged. Unfortunately that might require a factory reset to fix if nothing else works.

Thank you very much for your tips. About the battery %, I had tried your suggestions but I didn't try turning off the battery indicator only , then rebooting. That fixed it.
The AT A GLANCE issue troubles me. You would think that after 5 betas, some users would have brought the problem to Google’s attention and they would have fixed it. That's an app I use constantly during the day. It's not a critical problem for me, but I would like to have it return. Thanks again.

You're welcome :D us 3XL owners have to stick together... we're a dying breed ;)

I reported above that the battery % problem was fixed, but it is not accurate. The status bar says 94%,but the SETTINGS say 37% which is accurate. I've tried rebooting. Any suggestions? I just noticed that the Status Bar icon doesn't update as the Pixel 3 is changing. If you restart, the % updates. Go Figure

This update to Google 12 is the most troublesome I have ever seen. Two of the most useful features {lock screen and battery life} are corrupt. I deliberately wait a few days to be sure that there were no serious bugs. I am very surprised and disappointed that after all the hype, this the result

If you are referring to tapping the date on the home screen for the Google calendar to show up it works fine on my Pixel 4a and my wife's Pixel 4a. In fact I didn't know it would do that until I read some of these posts and gave it a try. Neither of use have the weather there, just the date.

I've seen one or two other posts about wonky battery reporting, but it doesn't seem widespread.

Does this happen in Safe Mode as well?
