Trouble with Sd card

I am pretty new to rooting and different roms. I had someone root my phone and recently I became familiar with trying different roms using the Rom manager. However, after trying Mikfroyo rom and going back going back to the recently released but stable GB rom, the phone no longer locatiing my sd card. It says I have to mount the sd card. I tried to boot into recovery by turning of the phone and turning it back on holding the volume button down but no luck. Any help would be grateful. thanks

Try unmount then remounting the card in you storage settings from the home menu. Last thing. Pull the battery to check if the card is in securely.

Can you take the SD card out and mount it to your computer with an adapter? Just to make sure your card is still good or not.
