Trouble with updating to Kit Kat

I just got my Moto X from the recent cyber deal a few days ago, and when I go to "Software Update" it says there is an update to 4.4 that's 300+MB. I press download and it says it will alert me when it is finished. The problem is that it's been over a day now and it still hasn't updated. I go check again and there's a pop up saying it is being downloaded but there's no status or progress bar so how do I know it's actually downloading? Anyone else have this problem?

Have you tried wiping the cache in recovery or a factory reset?

I've tried a factory reset and it's the same thing. I'm trying this on the wife's phone but I also got my phone yesterday and it's doing the same thing.
