I've been told by some that it's perfectly fine to charge my phone several times per day and still have the battery last for years as long as it doesn't go too low, like below 30%. Is that true?

I'm asking because I charge my Moto X 3-4 times a day.

Bro, if you are charging your battery 3-4 times a day, you perhaps use your phone too much?

Normally I only charge once, max is twice a day. The battery still last for 3 years.

I usually charge when it hits 40% and the reason I charge so much is because I have the 2014 Moto X. If you had the phone you'd know why.

I've heard that its better to let your battery drain all the way before recharging it. That its suppose to prolong its life but batteries are cheap anyway. I have a Galaxy S4, I use two batteries. One charges on the wallmount and when my phone battery dies i swap them, full charge again. I love the rotation, im never stuck to a wall chargin my phone anymore. Hope this helps some

Kenna, I've heard just the opposite. Can anyone confirm which is better for the battery? Frequent small charges or letting the battery drain completely before charging?

If I tell you that what Kenna has stated is true, would you believe it?

You best bet is to do a Google search for battery tests and read articles dedicated to battery charging and life expectancies. Until then I don't think you'll be able to come away with an understanding you'll be satisfied with.
