trusted devices menu in N9 not working with Pebble smart watch?

My N9 does not seem to be able to find or pair to a Pebble for use as a trusted device to keep pin unlock task turned off. My moto g works fine using the moto vers of trusted devives. Any ideas why trusted device menu in N9 android 5.0 will not work with my Pebble?
