Trusted Places Problem

I'm in the same boat. Super annoying. I have added like 8 extra locations on the map at our house. Nothing fixes the issue. I only leave it on and tolerate it because of logins to different apps and websites.

Same here and it is super annoying. BTW, trusted places are just that. Places that we feel entirely comfortable having our phone unlocked. I miss this working properly.

I don't think he gets that "trusted places" is to be taken literally.

Maybe what we really need is a security measure called "not trusted person" that reads the face of whomever is using it and locks it if they are in the list.

I'd take it off completely if it didn't make you remove credit card info. To use Samsung pay you still have to enter a pin or scan iris anyway.

This smart lock problem is Beyond annoying! I really believe it's a Note 8 issue. My daughter's S7's smart lock and my wife's S8's work no problem.

Same here, trusted places works at some of the places but it won't work at home. I've tried putting my home address in, and i also let the map choose the location. Nothing. Help?

I find after a while I must restart the phone in order to have my phone realize I'm home and it's a trusted place.

I think I've figured out what the problem is for me with this....with my Note 3, it wouldn't notify me that my Wi-Fi wasn't working (had a modern that would disconnect on occasion) and would cause me to run on data without knowing. So I got use to turning my data off when I was at home. Did this from habit with my Note 8 since I had it. couple mo's ago I stopped doing that and that's when I started having this problem with smart lock. Today I've been keeping my data off while at home and just running on Wi-Fi and have had no issues with smart lock NOT working.

Now just wondering what 'data' is working while my phone should be using Wi-Fi instead....

update....having data off at home for smart lock fix worked for about 24 hr's but is back to not working nearly all the time.

Yep. Adding your home to smart places doesn't seem to work at all the past month or so. The only thing saving me now is that my Gear S3 is a trusted device and keeps it unlocked now.

This just became an issue for me over the past couple weeks. Trusted places works everywhere (parents, work) BUT my home. Super annoying...

It's not working on my s8 plus either. It's not Oreo because it stopped working weeks before the update. Seems to work fine for when I'm at work, but not at home.
