" went with nova and now i'm back to stock and i'm staying. I have the perfect setup now. I rooted and removed the software keys and downloaded lmt pie launcher. I also downloaded an app called appsi that gives my phone this side bar when I swipe. I'm coming from a Blackberry Z10 (I know, I know). I loved swiping through the OS but I couldn't stand much of anything else, so I made my G2 as swipy as possible."

that's cool, but not very stock anymore! Question for you TP, with you rooted and on stock launcher... are you able to knock off anywhere on the screen? I said I wouldn't root this phone, but...

Here are all of the third party themes that I have installed at the moment. The only reason I think the notification bar isn't transparent is because I was in the process of uploading screenshots to Drive because normally the notification bar is transparent with these themes because they use the "default" wallpaper for the theme.

The main reason I dumped the stock launcher was the EVERY single time I tried to move an icon from one page to the next, then screens would start going crazy and wouldn't let me set the icon down on the page I wanted. It was crazy..the screens would just fly by as I had the icon "held" with my finger. No such issues ever like that with the Nova launcher.

Can't say I've had this issue.

I can see where that would be frustrating though.

Did you make sure that you have the setting turned off that when you hold icon you can just tilt the screen to move it page to page? Its under gesture settings.

That appsi application is pretty cool.

where can i download these??

i'm talking about VideoEngineerAJS screenshots from the last page. it looks like he's using stock launcher with these themes. i'd love to get my hands on those if they work for stock launcher unrooted verizon lg g2.

*edit* so i found some of these files on the xda forum, but my g2 can't install the theme files. it has some sort of error and won't install. anyone know what's up?

They're not working for me either. I'm guessing you have to have root in order for these to install and work properly. that's kind of a shame.

No, I'm not rooted. I'll post the link when I get home and explain how to install.

anyone know if you can change the folders to be more stock jelly bean, don't like the manila folder style on the stock launcher. I'm trying trying to make the stock launcher work for me...

You can only change the color. I made all of mine silver. They are still square, but I like the color better.

Here is the thread with all of the themes. Once you download the zips simply tap on the zip and then tap on the apk and it will install. Apparently the AT&T version doesn't have the theme changer though.

Oh make sure you have the install from unknown sources checked in your settings.
