Greetings,

In rehab from my CrackBerry addiction. Been clean now for a month and am jonesing for more droid stuff to help me trade addictions.

Welcome, I have been trying to talk my husband into giving up his beloved BB, he is one of the six remaining BB owners (kidding. that is what I tease him with at least). He is holding out for BB10 though, so i must not be convincing enough.

How was the transition for you?

When I went over to Droid, it was a tough change. I was used to a good amount of stuff BB did but Droid did way more and I just had to get used to it.

Former BB user here. Once I got the virtual KB mastered there was no reason to go back to BB. Android does it all and way more.

I had the 8900 and I loved that phone. Not having a nice browser caused me to switch to the Incredible and I haven't looked back. :-)

Had a bb and I love the premise. I hate paying good money on old technology and bb will always be a step or three behind.

Hate to say I tried to activate my BB today because my Droid X has given me so many problems sad I miss the reliability of my blackberry. I was willing to do without the apps just to be able to make a straight phone call. Good luck with your transition I love my Android. I'm debating whether to get a razr or just give up. They are great devices. If you get one that works smoothly. My guess is my problems are isolated! Good luck and welcome!

I had a blackberry since 04. I got a Samsung Nexus this past december. It was a big change to learn the new OS. I do miss my blackberry. But RIM was not moving forward with phones. Very slow to push a new one out. The Nexus was dropping calls and had way too many issues. Verizon rep told me to get the Razr. I have been happy with my MAXX

I installed Smart Keyboard when I transitioned from BlackBerry. Took me a while to leave BlackBerry, because I didn't want to give up AutoText. Smart Keyboard has an AutoText feature built in. It's my favorite and most used keyboard on my Droid.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

i started off with a BB Curve then went to a tour before buying a Droid Pro off my friend. the keyboard was a nice way of weening myself off the physical keyboard and into the touchscreen world. then when my upgrade was available i waited till the droid razr maxx came out to use it. blew a good chunk of my tax refund. but i love this thing.

I agree the MAXX is a great phone. I went from a blackberry storm 2 to a Verizon Galaxy Nexus. After weeks of dropped calls and software issues verizon replaced it with a MAXX:)
