Trying to Figure out why my Note Edge will not charge?

AC Question

Trying to Figure out why my Note Edge will not charge.

So last night while trying to charge my phone, I noticed that it was not charging while it was plugged into the wall. I have the original plug that came with the phone when I got it. And I tried a few different plugs around my house. And it still wont charge.

I even went as far as trying to charge it in my car and still nothing. At first I thought it might just be my cords, but after trying a few different ones, nothing worked.

Has this happened to anybody else, and is there a way to fix this?

Does the USB port seem clean and undamaged?

Does the charging port seem to be just a trifle loose? That would also do it. (That would mean that at least one of the charging pins isn't soldered in.)

About the only way to fix it, since it's probably still under warranty, is to back everything up (see Backing up an Android Device) and bring it in for repair or replacement. (You could open the phone and check the connections, but I wouldn't recommend that unless you're doing it under supervision on a dead phone for at least 10 times, and then under supervision on a few live phones. One little mistake and the repair bill will be almost as much as the retail price of the phone. (And you'll void the warranty.)

Never waste more time than it took you to read this post (IOW, you've already wasted enough time) on a phone that's under warranty. Let Samsung waste THEIR time once they get it back. (The more we force them to waste more labor fixing phones than they spend making them, they might catch on and start learning what "quality assurance" means. It saves them money not to have to troubleshoot a problem that should never have occurred in the first place, even if it costs a little to make sure it doesn't happen.)

Did you use your cord from the original charger in the car? If so that's it then. My cord crapped out after 2 months
