Trying to root after OTA gingerbread update

Yes, you can just use the cwm-recovery-all instead of cwm3 and follow the test of the instructions.

Thanks for the info this was my first root. Learning about all the cwm's. Now i just have to figure out how to flash a rom and what one to use.....

Finally got rooted for the first time last night. It was the first time i rooted my phone followed the instructions from site listed below and was done in 3 min. Now i have to learn about what Rom to use.
It was nice to get rid of Verizon's bloatware via titanium backup.

I have tried EVERYTHING in all the threads I could find. I still don't have root. I even printed about 60 pages of instructions from every thread I could find....still no root. Please help Fascinate EH03 Gingerbread

The CWM method described doesn't work for me for some reason. It looks like the zip was installed correctly in recovery, but after reboot, apps can't get root. I tried letting Superuser update su from 2.3 to 3.0 but that failed as well since the phone is not really rooted.

It may be time to try a custom ROM again since my GPS stopped working and my phone spontaneously reboots ever since EH03 OTA update. I don't look forward to reinstalling everything, but I can't get a good backup without root.

I was finally able to root stock EH03 using the su from [MOD][4.21.11] New Superuser package Root your Fascinate - xda-developers

i got the phone rooted and successfully completed it.. but i still can not use voodoo volume it says its not rooted which the phone was rooted, so what is goin on? and i rooted on gingerbread...
