Trying to Root and ROM phone, Odin just sitting - HELP!

I'm trying to put on a new ROM on my phone and I have downloaded the ROM and connected to the phone with ODIN and it's just sitting there. It's been over and hour and it still does not say PASSED. What do I need to do? Did I just brick my phone?

PLEASE HELP!

Odin finally failed...but now Odin will no longer see my device. There is nothing showing in ID:COM.

Please help...thanks.

Sorry for the slow response, I have just been able to get back to this today after being busy yesterday. I was able to flash to a stock EH03 ROM. Now I need to root the phone and find a good custom ROM to get rid of the stock look, feel and bloat!

Any advice on custom ROMs to choose?

I suggest Superclean V3.

I suggest [Rom][11/11] Tsmpoolparty V1.6 - 2.3.7 - RootzWiki or cm7 CyanogenMod Mirror Network - Powered by TDRevolution Or ICS which all come pre-rooted by the way. Pick one and follow the thread I pointed you to earlier just replace whichever rom you choose with the one from that thread. So put on your SD and flash it in CWM. Make sure to read read read

I have been on all the said MTD roms, (Pool Party, ICS, and CM7). All very nice ROMS, but much to my disappointment they didn't work well on my fascinate. Thusly, I went back to stock, and have had the best luck with the full EH03 release.

Given your relative difficulty with flashing with ODIN and busy schedule, I would recommending keeping EH03, rooting, and installing launcher pro, or other custom launcher(ADW, GOlauncher, zeem, etc). I would also recommend installing Titanium Backup ROOT. WIth that you can freeze the bloat, or un-install it. Launcher Pro will let you remove the bloat from your app drawer, if you don't want to go through the process of freezing, uninstalling.

Here is my stock, rooted EH03 with launcher pro:

my two cents.. Like Bigjobber69 said, if you do choose to move to MTD roms, make sure you read, and understand what your doing. You can quickly end up with a phone that doesn't work.

You can mess it up, but it is very easy to go back and have it working again with ODIN. the phone is UNBRICKABLE! just read and go to ICS or CM7. Its easy once u read through and understand everything

Thanks everyone for your help on this. I put on the SuperClean 3 V0.3 and things seem to be running pretty well. I may try one of the other ROMs and see how those work,
