Trying to root optimus v

I am trying to root my optimus v and eberytime i try and shell root it stops at Rooting device.... -step #5 wait forDevice 8.03s any1 know whats going on?

i tryed it 100 times restarted phone and everything.

Are you sure u have USB debugging enabled?

I assume you are doing this with your computer using super one click. You installed all of the drivers right?

Easiest way is Gingerbreak directly on the phone.

I got it rooted i used this vid to do it and it work great right drivers and everything.

I wouldn't go that route until we know for sure what Current method they are useing don't want to mess the phone up even more.

I've used Gingerbreak with 3 different Optimus V's and two Triumphs, works great with no problems whatsoever. Also use ROM Manager to install CMW, no need to connect to PC

If the flash_image file is on the phone you can by-pass ROM Manger all together type it in terminal.
