Trying to root

Hey guys, I FINALLY got my Droid this morning. I installed z4root the correct way and i tap "permanently root" It's saying it's "Running exploit in order to obtain root access.." for a while now, Whats going on? A while as in like 15 mins. I've already rebooted my phone and stuff.

Alrighty. I figured it out. I used this method.

Wasn't too hard, kinds confusing but it works. Installing my frist ROM now

z4root doesn't work on 2.2.1...FYI for anyone else that looks at this thread.
