Trying to set up home screen easy mode on my galaxy s7

[AC Question]

The home screen pops up with a huge time display at the top of the screen. When I attempt to "edit" the screen...there's NO WAY to remove this huge TIME WIDGET?!

I have NO NEED for this billboardn of time?! Taking up precious room for other shortcuts. Am I missing something? Is it possible to get rid of this? I canot figure it out. Any help would be much appreicated.

I think you must press on the time display for like 2-3 seconds, then it should appear something at the top of the screen saying 'Delete' or 'Remove'. Tell me if that helped you

Nope. Holding the widget and removing it CANNOT be done. I've tried everything.

Guess I can't use easy mode...
