When will HTC release kernel source code? Has anyone seen a leaked version? Maybe I have to wait for CM7 on TB?

I built the module this morning from HTC's release (2.6.32.21-gb05544a), it is working fine with OpenVPN. I hope this will save someone else some time.

How do I use the attachment you posted with OpenVPN zetarhopike? Will that work for a IPSec Cisco VPN?

This module should work with any app that requires the tun module. You'll need to remount /system read/write (just like the rooting procedure), copy the module to /system/lib/modules, and chmod to 644. You can load it manually with insmod or let the OpenVPN Settings app take care of that for you. Hope that helps! If not I can try to write a more detailed procedure.

That is a bit over my head, I would certainly like a more detailed procedure!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for posting this file. I've tried everything I could to compile it under the correct Kernel but no matter what it compiles using ARMv6 and I need ARMv7. I'll give this file a try.

Thanks!

Like everyone else, can't believe it's so difficult to pull this off. Unbelievable that such functionality isn't built in by default. Will make it impossible for me to sell droids at work if I have to root every phone for VPN access! Cmon google!

Thanks to zetarhopike for your time. Respect to your brains!

UPDATE: Worked perfectly on rooted (obviously) HTC Thunderbolt with VPNC! Thanks again!
