Turbo vs Nexus

Has any of the Turbo owners considered the Nexus 6? A coworker has the Nexus 6, I played with it for about 20 and I'm loving it. The Turbo has some specs better than the N6 (camera, battery, etc) ... I get it. But the performance and beauty of the N6 is undeniable. I think I would have picked the N6 over the Turbo because I really stick android and the screen. The problem is the N6's are on back order and hard to get. VZW timed release of the Turbo perfectly. Anyone having 2nd thoughts?

Do you root you're phone or not?
If you want root go with the nexus 6. With the Nexus 6 you will also get the latest version of Android 1st.
The droid turbo has much better battery life but Version wireless will lock your boot loader making root difficult (although you may be able to use towel root) if root isn't important pick the droid turbo

Droid Turbo 64GB

The death of my last phone made me have to upgrade before I could do a side-by-side of the Turbo and the N6. I reserve the right, however, to turn the DT over to another family member if the N6 comes out and blows my mind. ;-)

I look forward to the first battery reports from the N6. With that much bigger a screen, and that much smaller a battery, it'll be very interesting to see how much of a difference it makes vs the Turbo.

The Droid Turbo has significantly better battery life and a much better camera.

Both have 1440p AMOLED screens, both have Snapdragon 805 SoCs, so the performance should be similar.

I'd go with the Droid.

I decided to go with the Droid Turbo. I played with the N6 for a about an hour and the batter dropped 25% with mixed use. I can go approximately 2 hours on the DT before i lose that much battery. This is a big deal for me.. I don't have luxury of a car charger because I'm usually riding my motorcycle. The performance is the same so the DT won. Now .. just waiting to see when if VZW will roll out VoLTE this year as promised.
