Hello all,

What is the main hardware difference between Note 3 and Note Pro? The first is a mobile phone, the other is a 12.2'' tablet. The other specifications are almost the same.

So how can we convert our Note 3 to Note Pro tablet? That is my question.

Lets go into some theory. We can use a MHL adapter with HDMI output. What if there was a 12.2'' touch screen with these specifications 2560 x 1600?

Then we could connect our phone to this touchscreen via MHL adapter. That would be in theory, a machine with the same specificatons as the Note Pro.

Take a look at this link:
Smartphone Uplink SPU700 7" Touchscreen Android/iPhone  [ Smartphone Uplink ]

If that was a 12.2'' screen with the above specifications, that will mostly solve the problem. I could have a phone and convert it to a tablet whenever I wanted. But we also want it to be compact.

So, I am looking for a 12.2'' touch monitor as stated above. Is there anything in the market that can fit my needs?

Thank you.

Like a asus padfone? i have seen screens like that but not sure where :P

Yes!!!!! Are there generic docks or touch screens that will work for Note 3? This is what I am looking for

Like Slashyou mentioned, the product below may provide the functionality (in concept) for what you're seeking. Looks like only the S3 and S4 are supported, though.

I think a dock or similar connectivity to a standard keyboard, mouse, monitor as proposed is more useful as it essentially creates a desktop computing experience. But that drifts away from a tablet experience.

Perhaps picking up a refurbished Note 8 or 10 tablet is more feasible as data can be synced (via Google apps/services and other cloud apps/services). A true tablet also provides the additional screen real-estate while maintaining and supporting tablet functionality and use cases.
