Turn off CDMA on watch

I have a Gear S2 CDMA from Verizon. They notified me last year 3g is discontinued and I closed that number at the company.

I have previously learned that if the watch is away from the phone it goes through battery quickly when connected to cellular.

Is there a way to turn cellular off, since there is no service?

Thank You. The suggestion appears to work that way, now to see if it increases battery life.
