Turn OFF Contacts Sync *PERMANENTLY* (Whatsapp)

Hello Friends

One question... How can I Turn OFF the Whatsapp Contacts Sync PERMANENTLY? I Turn it OFF and delete duplicated contacts from my phone contacts, but a bit later it turns ON itself and duplicated contacts are back once again. I DO NOT WANT WHATSAPP CONTACTS ON MY PHONE CONTACTS...

I found a post telling to enter Contacts (app) -> Settings and choose what apps contacts to show and deactivate Whatsapp, but only one of my telephones has this feature, and anyway I don't want to choose what to show, I WANT TO STOP PERMANENTLY WHATSAPP TO SYNC CONTACTS WHEN I DEACTIVATE IT... Is it possibe? If so, how?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to the system settings, then Accounts, then WhatsApp. Turn off the Contacts Sync toggle there. Does it keep turning on after doing that?

Yes, duplicates are because of WhatsApp. I don't know why we are limited to just Android and IOS. Android is full of bugs, and after all of these years of development, we are still talking about the basic bugs. IOS is all about cleaning your pockets and limiting you. I miss the days of Windows.

To get rid of duplicate contacts, you can usually select an option to Merge or Join contacts, so that the duplicates don't clutter your contact list.
