turn off default speakerphone

For some reason my LG G3 turns on speakerphone every time I make a call. It is incredibly annoying.
Is there a way to have the speakphone off?

Try going in to your dialer settings and see if you have some kind of option turned on.

I looked at the call settings and there is nothing related to speakerphone
