I have no interest in my heart being monitored. It seems no matter what settings you change, on the 360.1 or 360.2, the watch will continue to perform heart monitoring. I catch both watches going the "green light thing" on occasion (so I have no idea how often it is doing this). I hate wasting battery (ANY battery, doesn't matter how much) on something I don't care about at all. I started researching it and it seems like you can turn off Fit, turn off Body, but that still doesn't stop the monitoring. Several postings even say you have to root the watch to turn it off!

Thoughts?

Don't you have to turn it on to use? At least that's my understanding. You have to actually press the "button" to begin monitoring. If you don't want to use it, don't press it.

No. The watch will wake and take your heart rate automatically throughout the day at seemingly random times without telling you.
