Turn Off Lock Screen

I got a Rezound as a warranty replacement for my Galaxy Nexus (long story, don't ask). I'm rocking the official ICS update, and everything seems great-but I can't turn off the lock screen. On my Galaxy Nexus I could. What's up? Will I need root to turn it off?

You mean the HTC ring? Yea you don't turn that off.
