There's no option to turn off Mobile view on the browser? Why is this? This is annoying that I cant goto certain website and see the real thing, instead I get the mobile view which is lame. It had it on the Inc, why not the bad boy X?.

Some people will say use a different browser. I dont want to as most of the browsers on the market are lame and fill your screen with non-sense things.

Has anyone figured out how to turn off the mobile view on the stock browser? Would be greatly appreciated.

Type, about:config into your address bar and hit enter. Go to settings, scroll all the way to the bottom and go to UAStrings and change it to desktop. Only issue I have with it, doesn't save the configuration. So if anyone knows how to save / do that lemme know!

Unfortunately I haven't found out how to default to Desktop webpages but I do know any site you go to that has a mobile page, somewhere on that first page is a link to change over to the regular. Yeah its a pain to have to do it each time and manually, but until a real solution is brought around to make it ALWAYS default to desktop this is our only option for us vanilla browser users :(

Does it reset back after a reboot or after each time you open the browser?

I dunno about you guys, but when I do about:config it takes me to a completely blank page. Am I missing something here?

Make sure after you type it in the address bar you hit go. Then go to settings and scroll all the way down...you should see it.

(don't let typing it into the address field on the browser mess you up...it isn't going to take you to any page...it just 'unlocks' that setting for you in the normal settings menu) make sense?

For me, its just going to a blank white page :( Also, when I hit enter and it goes to a blank page, I hit the menu buttong, goto settings and scroll to the bottom and still dont see anything regarding mobile view.

Wait so I type it into the address bar, press go. I SHOULD be getting a blank white page and see the options in the following menu: More+/Settings/(new settings here)?

Because I just did that and theres no new settings there :( thanks for trying though

Ok, got it to work finally, however its very laggy and if I go back to the home screen and relaunch the browser, it resets forcing me to do that about:debug thing again in the browser window. Is there anything I can do to force it to the regular sites all the time or must I do this every single time?

Also, must I turn off this debug mode? My browser is definately choppy now if Im in that mode.

about:debug then hit go

Then hit menu, then more
Go to setting
all the way at the bottom you will see the UA strings
