Turn off Recent in Notification bar

I am wondering is there a way to take off the recent used in the notification pull down. Thank you for any help.

I don't think there is an option for that. The only way I can think of is to root and install a custom rom.

Well you could always check out the xda developers forum. There's where I found the information on how to root my slide. Check out "The Slide Rom Bible" thread.
