Turn off Samsung A52 speaker while using BT hearing aids.

I wear Bluetooth enabled hearing aids (Costco house brand). I can use them to stream music, audio books and podcasts, no extra earbuds needed. When I do that, the sound comes only through my hearing aids which is what I want. Same for when I'm paired to my car audio.
On my previous phone (Samsung S8), while the hearing aids were paired and in use, my phone only rang through the hearing aids and the same was true for Android sounds like alarms, timers, etc.
On my new A 52, when the phone rings I hear it in the hearing aids, but everyone else near me hears it through the phone speaker. Ditto for the Android sounds.
How can I stop these from coming through the phone speaker while I'm using the hearing aids?

Thanks but no luck. I do have the other call options screen, but the hearing aid compatibility is already turned on.

Nothing helpful in the accessibility options.

I don't know if it helps narrow it down, but I just had my wife call my phone. In my hearing aid, I heard the hearing aid's own incoming call tones, but the phone speaker played the phone ringtone I had set up. I'll try to call Costco, but they'll probably tell me it's an Android issue.

Are you using the same hearing aids that you used with your S8? It's possible that the firmware on the hearing aids is too outdated to be compatible with a newer version of Android. Unfortunately, most hearing aids don't offer the ability to update the firmware, so it becomes necessary to get new hearing aids when the old ones no longer are suitable for newer technology devices that are used with the hearing aids.

Thanks, but they are the same hearing aids as I had before I got the new phone. I recently got an Android update and I'd hoped that it would fix the problem, but no change. Costco is really good at support and does update firmware. Highly recommended if you know anyone in the market for hearing aids.
