Turning light on and off while recording

Is there a way to turn the video light on and off while recording? I can't seem to find that feature

There's not, at least in the stock app... You might try a different app, maybe they allow you to do that.

When you are in video mode, press the flash symbol, turn on flash, and when you commence recording the light comes on, until you stop recording....

I've seen this kind of feature on honor 4x... It's the only phone I've seen that can turn light on and off while recording a video! I'm just not sure other huawei phones can also don this.

The flashlight has 3 settings - off, auto and on. As long as it is set to "ON", the flashlight will always come on while recording and stay on.
