Amazon allows you to purchase any app, regardless of whether it is compatible, via a computer. However, it won't let you download the app until you access the Amazon App store from your actual device.
However, if the app that you purchased is not compatible with your device, it won't appear when you go to the store to download it.
Is there a way, using some kind of prop editor to turn my Nexus into a Kindle Fire so I can download the app I paid for?
I recently purchased:
DEVIL ON THE MISSISSIPPI
Amazon.com: Midnight Mysteries: Devil on the Mississippi: Appstore for Android
and figured that between having a Nexus and a HP Touchpad running CM9 that I could find a way to run it.
Sideloading isn't a problem, but I just need to be able to download the app first
