I new to the Moment (and Android Central), coming from a Pre. I have a friend that lives in an area that has pretty much no data coverage and very little voice coverage. On my Pre, I would always turn off data to save battery life. I'm not sure what to do in the Moment. I found in the "Settings" the "Network Settings", but I'm not sure which is the best way to set it up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Your settings are probably allowing data roaming, so if you go to the wireless settings and then uncheck the roaming one.

You may want to change the the system select from auto to home.

Or you can turn on Airplane Mode

YOu can also try and use Locale (expensive for an app on the phone, but for me worth it), and have it automatically turn off data services when in a certain GPS location, then turn back on when outside the area.
