Hey guys just wanted to know how you turn off the radio on the Atrix.I want the phone on but no radio kinda like how you can disable it on a BB
Also one other thing, when att says data plan.Do apps eat up that data or only when you go online and watch videos and such things like browsing?

I dont have an atrix but....

if apps and or widgets using data without your knowledge is a concern then you can disable background data

settings>accounts & sync> uncheck background data

if you want to completely disable your radio

long press home screen>widgets>power control>then use the airplane toggle

or

settings>wireless&networks> from here you can control your network and wireless settings

I just watn to completely turn the radio off and use wi-fi when im at home this way I dont waste my data....any chance that can be done?

well I notice that when my wi-fi is on there still is a conncetion and bars but I want to just turn the radio off is there one master switch to it all or do I have to use all these different menus

those are cell phone reception bars has nothing to do with data.....yes airplone mode then switch on wifi

ok kool yea I dont want to play with the background data stuff because I want it to work when im not home,as I need my emails for work on time.
Only when I'm home I want to turn off all data so I can only use my wi-fi and save myself the extradata charges for going over my two GB per month so I hope this helps then.

yeah like i said shutting off data is not necessary if wifi is on , it can only use wifi or data not both
