As one of the last 10 Windows Phone users in the world I finally have to make a switch. Given the final(ish) demise of Windows 10 Mobile and the fact that my Lumia is in it's death throws I had to buy a new phone. I landed on the Moto E Plus and it's in the mail now.

I'm heavily invested in the Microsoft ecosystem and my first priority is integrate my new phone as closely as possible with all of my current accounts to any pointers would be appreciated.

Welcome. :)

Don't worry, you can use a lot of Microsoft stuff on an Android. The other way round, not so. I know this because I am Windows Phone user No.11, and continuing to use happily. :)

I'm in the same boat as Broad & Market, but I'm so disgusted with MS that I plan as much as possible to switch over to Google programs and Android apps. Using Microsoft Launcher, Outlook and my old @Live e-mail account feels like continuing to hug a corpse.

Switching from, iPhone-WinPhone, blackberry to Android are normal
events in the Mobile era. Most users stay with Android 'cause the
connection with Google but both "Google+Microsoft" could
create a cellPhone that beat iPhone-Samsung: Bye! :)

Welcome to Android Central! At least you know that Bill Gates has moved to Android as well.;)

 That's a good-1: But I bet he got an iPhone not a Samsung..?
let's heard the Broad and Market's opinion on this..Stay Tuned

Welcome to the forums! That's a good device choice, for sure! Motorola is a great brand that makes trusted devices.

As for Windows apps, I'm sure there are Windows-esque apps or the equivalent in the Google Play Store. :)

That overwhelming feeling of resent toward Microsoft and Nadella mostly passes soon enough. I've always used Outlook, OneDrive and SwiftKey on my Android or iPhones but now that they have also brought the Microsoft Launcher and Edge too I've given them a try and actually LOVE the launcher. Edge is good but still has a bit of work required. It's not all as seamless as my Lumia's have been integrating with my Surface Pro or desktop but it's pretty damn close.
