Turning the phone off and on

Has anyone else experienced a problem where if you start the phone up to quickly after shutting it off it freezes on the Google screen?

Never had this happen myself. I have had the power button be unresponsive on the first press if i try to turn it on as soon as the screen goes dark. Ill hold it for 6-7 seconds and nothing happens. But the second press it always fires up.

Edit, FYI, Im unlocked and rooted, not on the stock ROM.
