Tutbo/Quark Looking More and More Real

If Motorola and Verizon don't totally ruin this model with the usual carbon fiber / dark android styling....I think I'm in for this one. The only thing that's keeping me from considering the X is the lack of wireless charging.

If there is only going to be one Droid this year, are we thinking it's going to be more like the Ultra (mid-range) or more like the Maxx (high-end)? While fast charging is an awesome feature, a long lasting battery is just as important. I sure hope that the upcoming Droid has as good (if not better) battery life than the current Maxx.

Um. Why is the Ultra mid-range?

The current droid Maxx is 5.0 inches. The turbo is suspected to be 4.7? Will this allow for a maxx style battery?

I was under the impression that the droid turbo would end up being between a 5.2-5.5" screen. At least that is what droid life is saying...

If 4.7", it may be thicker than most phones - definitely getting away from the RAZR moniker.

But it wouldn't surprise me if they went with a 2500 mAh or lower battery, touting Quick Charge 2.0 as a feature.

Rumors are rumors until an official announcement.

I am definitely interested to see what type of battery they will put in this phone. Understandably, the quick charging feature will allow for faster charges, but a lot of time, I don't have access to a wall charger when I'm on the run. I doubt they will put a battery in this that won't last us all day, but it may not be enough for us power hungry Maxx users. Which leads me to my next questions: Will Verizon be launching a Maxx Successor, and if so, will it have next gen specs like those rumored in this Droid Turbo?

Very tempted to hold out for this phone. Moto X is cool but specs are rumors so we will see. If Verizon delays moto x the droid turbo may be a direct competitor.

Uh what? Do you not realize that, other than battery and exterior case, the Ultra and Maxx are the exact same phone?

We're beyond rumors at this point on device size. The FCC filing showed a bigger overall phone than the 2014 Moto X, and I SERIOUSLY doubt Motorola is trying hard to win the prize for biggest bezel. Not a chance they're making a bigger phone than the new Moto X with a smaller screen.

I also thought the same FCC filing confirmed the battery model number, which was consistent with a follow-up to the battery in the Maxx.
