So I've seen two prime time (around 9PM) commercials in as many days on US TV for the Nexus 5X. Anyone seen a commercial spot for the 6P?

I've only seen a commercial for the 5X during one of the playoff games the other day. Haven't seen any for the 6P

Same here. I saw a commercial last night for the 5X and it was on ABC. Nothing for the 6P.

I saw the 5x as well. I would have thought Google would have advertised the 6p since it is the flagship.

I'd like to see what Huawei could do with a commercial... LG does have a name outside the smartphone market, but it's fairly new to the smartphone market in the US... IMHO.

I seriously doubt that LG paid for them. Why would they? LG gets more profit for people buying the G4 when compare to the 5X. My guess is that Google is paying for the marketing and having the 5X be the everyone phone while the 6P is for power users.

then they would have stuck with selling just G4 and not sell any other phone

This doesn't feature any Huawei branding. I get it, since not many Americans know of the brand. Does the 5X commercial mention LG?

I've seen a couple Nexus 5x commercials on Channel 9 WGN/CW while watching Arrow and The Flash and i was surprised haha. I think I've seen a couple others on other channels like FX as well

I think the reason there have been 5X commercials and not 6P is that the the 6P is essentially sold out. There are some 32GB 6Ps available, listed as shipping in 3-4 weeks, but all the others are sold out. Google might advertise the 6P in the future, but it is pointless to advertise if they don't have the phone available.

More likely the 5X is just easier to sell. It's cheaper, so it'll be attractive to a lot more people, and it's a "refresh" of a far more popular/better selling model. They're pretty clearly aiming for a "younger" audience, too. Someone above mentioned "Arrow" and "The Flash." I saw the commercial during "Scream Queens," of all things! [Don't judge me.]

Begs the question, though: just how do you sell the more expensive, more "controversial"-looking 6P to a non-tech-o-phile audience? Run the commercial during "Futurama" reruns?

^^^^ This, 6P is selling or sold out. It doesn't need marketing.

I'm watching football at the local watering hole. And its like a blitz. I'll see the 5X commercial going on three or four channels almost at the same time.

Also only seen the 5x commercial along with new Google commercials, which are actually very pleasant. This was during the bears game.
