TV Out video

Watching this video makes me feel bad for my EVO. It's the video for Galaxy S, showing video output with regular RCA/Composite cable, displaying EVERYTHING from the phone. Browsing web, playing games, watching videos, you name it!!

We definitely need some kind of TV Out for our EVO, that shows everything! Why couldn't HTC enable the headphone jack like the Galaxy S to display video?!?! Seems like a cheaper solution than HDMI? I rather have TV OUT with everything (non-hd) than having HDMI with HD output just on limited contents.

The only hope is for CyanogenMod to come out with HDMI hack... since that's our only hope for any TV OUT with everything on EVO..

R u guys changing the settings cause I had the same problems n I was playing the videos on 480 n after I change the video out to 720 OMG!!! Big different

HTC really needs to enable TV out for everything. Come on competition ... keep enabling it and putting pressure on HTC for a competitive response.

Still pretty gimmicky, but if you're going to have TV out of some sort, that seems much more useful than HDMI out at this point.

At least you'll know it should work on probably 95% of TVs out there.

Yeah, I hadn't heard about that either . . . to which ROM are you referring?

Also, my old Moto Zine ZN5 had TV-out, just reproduced the screen straight through a composite cable. I liked it, seems like this would have been a priority of the whole HDMI gimmick.

Mine don't work I plug into tv turn it on and it re-boots and lock my evo
