Twitter app causes media issues on the Infuse

This happened to me too. Just removed twitter official app.

But now it begs the question what should be my go to twitter app and does it happen to have a decent widget?

If you remove the official twitter app you can download twit droid.... there is a free version....and it DOES NOT cause any issues like the official twitter app does.....once you download it though I would change the settings to NOT update in the back ground....it seems like it can push adds to you that way...


But it works once you play with the settings IMO.....and again...with twit droid I have had no issues with the music or videos...4 days now.

THANK YOU for this!! I uninstalled and will hopefully not have to reboot my phone 1-2x a day. I've missed a ton of calls. I'll update in a few days to verify that this also worked for me.

....isn’t that crazy?...When I brought my first TWO infuses back to best buy because of the media issues they said that there is no way it could be an app....needless to say I have since called them and let them know the good news

lol I not really sure what a ota is....all i know is i removed it and now my phones media has worked the entire time....

Removing some of the stock bloatware can cause issues with ota updates, but u can't simply delete any of those apps. You have to root phone and use certain programs to remove those I believe. You can add/delete apps u get from the market all u want.

Also I am still issue free since deleting the twitter app!!!

Can you clarify what you mean by media? I've had youtube just give me the black screen with working audio and I also have the official twitter app installed. Since mine is also a Samsung phone, I'm curious if it's a common problem. Thanks.

All of my music I have on sd card and on the phone would become unplayable as well as any custom ringtones and notifications.

Seconded and YouTube would fail on me until I rebooted occasionally.

If it's black video with working audio, that's me. Rebooting fixes it. I'll try it out. Thanks for the help.

I did not have that issue with you tube... for me it would just not play the video...my media hub videos would not play and then also my music would stop working and my phone would say this audio file is not supported by this device.......BUT since deleting the official twitter app....no issues.....why....I have no clue....
